THE GLIMMER EFFECT

GLIMMER
WRITTEN BY: DAVID VICTOR PAVON

Walking in the shadows
Living in despair
I connected with no one
But bonded with everyone
I felt so out of place
Insecurities swallowed my soul
People just don't know
I gave into my sadness
Explored every possible badness
In conclusion it was pure madness
My brass behavior drifted me away from me
I turned my back on all that was meant to be
I was lost in the haze
Burned to a blaze
My heart was hanging heavy
Eager to leave it all behind
I finally saw a glimmer
A light shining out of my shadow
A place to feel the warmth
A place to feel like me
I escaped my horrid complex
I eluded the evils of my doom
No longer a victim of circumstance
I stand as a product of GOD's greatness

I was inspired by this piece of street art created by BANSKY. I wrote "GLIMMER" yesterday in just under 5 minutes. It's direct, honest, heartfelt and to the point, just like the artwork.

I FINALLY SAW THE FILM "EXIT THROUGH THE GIFT SHOP" AND I WAS COMPLETELY INSPIRED BY THE ARTWORK OF BANKSY. TWO OF HIS PIECES INSPIRED ME TO WRITE A POEM TITLED "GLIMMER". THE STRAIGHT FORWARD PIECES BANKSY CREATED REMIND ME OF MYSELF. LOOKING AT THE PIECES IS A REFLECTION OF MYSELF. I HOPE YOU ENJOY THE TWO ARTWORKS THAT INSPIRED THE FIRST POEM I AM SHARING WITH ALL OF YOU. ENJOY;-)
